Tips to Save Android's Battery

HAPPY LUNAR NEW YEAR! Hope everyone will have a wonderful year ahead.

I've just recently purchased a new phone. I was deciding for the longest time between Blackberry and Android since the Blackberry is good for typing, but Android is so much more versatile with their apps. In the end, I settled for HTC Legend Android and been in love with it ever since. It's so easy to do everything, and new apps are being developed so quickly. I also heard that Gingerbread interface is in development so that's exciting new.
The only thing which I don't like is the battery life!!! With my typical use, it can only last 1 to 2 days max as compared to BB's 4-5 days without a problem. So I've been finding tips to conserve its battery and just want to share with you guys:
- Use your "About Phone" function to identify what drains your battery
- Background light setting: lowest you can withstand
- Turn off Wifi, GPS, and Bluetooth when not in use
- Reduce the sync frequency to about 1 hour instead of every 10 or 20 mins
- Turn off your apps when not in use (ie. use an app to kill apps)
- Every few times per month, you should fully discharge then fully recharge the phone completely
- Try to keep your phone cool all the time, and not use the phone when it's heating up. Battery works best when it's cooled down.
- Delete unnecessary items such as ur internet cache.
Hope these help and let me know any other tips you know! Thanks =)
